About Alexis Saloutos

Alexis Saloutos is the founder of Chakredy® and Tangible Intuition™, both original teachings where she trains and certifies practitioners internationally.

She bridges the gap between intellect and intuition by teaching the body based language of energetics. Alexis provides the structure, vocabulary and context to show people their innate capacity to articulate subtleties. When you can identify what you're experiencing, you can discern resonance from dissonance and orient yourself from the inside out.

Alexis is a Certified Nutritionist with a Masters in Nutrition from Bastyr University.

Episode Highlights with Alexis Saloutos

  • The chakras are connected to the endocrine system, and they each govern various energetic and physical aspects of the body.

  • The chakras bridge the “seen” with the “unseen.”

  • The Root chakra is connected to the physical plane - the earth, and physical body, and is tied to the adrenals.  The energy associated with the root chakra is grounding.  If we are not aligned within the root chakra, it is easy for us to be manipulated by outside forces and elements.

  • The Sacral chakra is connected to boundaries and energetic space. It is located at the pelvic region and tied to creativity, relationship, and flow. There is often a lot of trauma stored in the sacral chakra, and it can be challenging to bring awareness to this area.

  • For people who struggle to ground themselves, it can be helpful to work from the crown chakra downward, rather than the root up.

  • The Solar Plexus chakra connects to authenticity, and brings in external factors, while revealing the intuitive abilities of the body.  Through this chakra, it is possible to experience clear and heightened intuition.

  • How to connect to the subtleties of intuition: pay attention to a tightening in the stomach, or anxiety, or holding your breath - once you notice these sensations, acknowledge them and open your mind to receive information regarding that sensation.  Does that sensation surface with specific people or situations or environments?

  • How do you know if you are getting a hit of intuition, or if it is fear? Make sure you are grounded and aligned within your body - if you are not grounded, it will be harder to tap in and get clear with intuitive information.  To get clear on your intuition, it is important to align the root chakra.  Nature immersion and movement are two powerful means of doing this.

  • The Heart chakra is the generator of compassionate energy.  This is where we center ourselves in the ability to hold space for ourselves and for others.  The heart chakra also brings unity to our world.

  • The Throat chakra is the bridge between the Heart chakra and the Third Eye chakra. Anatomically, it is the narrowest part of the body. The primary energy associated with the Throat chakra is that of truth.  It can reveal truth by voice changes, coughing, or finding ease or difficulty in finding the right words when interacting with someone.  The Throat chakra has a special relationship with the Sacral chakra.  The creativity of the Sacral chakra can be voiced via the Throat chakra.

  • The Throat chakra is associated with speaking, but it is also associated with listening.  How actively can you listen, and are you open to the information coming in through the back?

  • One powerful exercise to align the Throat chakra is to tune into the Heart chakra, and “speak from the heart.”

  • The Third Eye chakra is the house of psychic energy, as well as the intellect and intuitive knowing.  Imagery, dream messages, auditory messages are all connected to the Third Eye.

  • There is a lot of information that comes in through the Third Eye - visual stimulation, psychic noise, etc. is constantly bombarding the Third Eye center.  It is important to “get out of your head” via grounding practices to help keep this center aligned.

  • The Crown chakra is our connection to Source energy, purpose, our Spirit, and sovereignty. The Crown is where inspiration comes through - it “drops in,” and works its way down through the physical.  Paying attention to synchronicity is one way to connect to this energy.  This is also where ego can come in and interfere at the Crown chakra.

  • An exercise to align the Crown chakra is to open the process of inquiry.  Also - simply look up and notice what you see.  Clouds? Stars? Sun?  Looking up will raise the spirit.
