About John Augspurger, DDS
A respected and passionate leader in biological dentistry, Dr. John Augspurger has over 30 years’ experience as a dentist.
For 25 of those years, he has been a biological dentist, pledged to practice with full integrity, with all the purpose, commitment and courage that implies.
He is the President and Founder of BioDentist, a unique holistically-integrated, insurance-free dental practice located in Denver, Colorado. Dr. Augspurger is also the owner, Co-Founder, and visionary creator of the Human Universal Health Institute, a biologically-based health care, education, and community center.
Augspurger began his dental training at age 13 as a hands-on lab technician, designing and creating meticulously customized prosthetic appliances, under the guidance of his orthodontist father: an immensely valuable training ground.
A graduate of the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, and a recipient of their Senior Achievement Award in Geriatric Care, and, most recently, an ACIMD certified Naturopathic Medical Doctor; Augspurger has vigorously pursued extensive continuing education in nutrition, toxicology, oxygen therapies, homeopathy, and herbology. He is an ongoing participant in ground-breaking research into body chemistries and dental disease, and the toxicity of root canals.
Honored by the Society of Progressive Medicine with an invitation to teach other doctors and dentists about biological medicine and the medical/dental uses of ozone therapy, he is an active and vocal member of the Holistic Dental Association, American Academy of Biological Dentistry, the Price-Pottenger Nutrition Foundation, the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology, the American Academy of Ozone Therapy, and is a Huggins Alliance Dentist.
Dr. Augspurger is a drummer/percussionist engaged in independent musical projects, practices yoga; skis, mountain bikes, is an avid fly-fisherman, and delights in camping, and hiking in the magnificent, inspiring, Colorado mountains.
