Frequently Asked Questions - FAQs

💰 Pricing & Cabin Options

Q: What cabin types are available through the group rate? Three options: Aqua Class, Veranda, and Ocean View — all priced per room based on two people sharing. Other options are available directly through Celebrity.

Q: What's included in the Aqua Class stateroom GROUP RATE at $2,277.93? You get a balcony room (A2 category, with a free upgrade to A1 while available if you have a Captain's Club number), exclusive access to the Blu restaurant for lunch and dinner, access to other complimentary dining, the Persian Garden spa area, a classic drink package, and basic WiFi.

Q: What's included in the Veranda stateroom GROUP RATE at $2,014.93? A balcony room with meals in the main dining room and other complimentary dining areas, a classic drink package, and basic WiFi.

Q: What's included in the Ocean View stateroom GROUP RATE at $1,766.93? A room with an ocean view (no balcony), meals in the main dining room and complimentary dining areas, a classic drink package, and basic WiFi.

Q: Are there any discounts or promotions I should know about? Yes! Celebrity Cruises almost always has some kind of promotion running, so it's worth keeping an eye out. Promotions vary — some offer discounted cabin rates, while others offer onboard credit (basically spending money you can use on the ship for things like drinks, spa treatments, or excursions).

From our observations, the best time to check and book is typically Friday through Monday, as Celebrity tends to release their best deals over the weekend. So if you're on the fence, it may be worth waiting for a weekend to pull the trigger on your booking — you could end up saving some money or scoring some extra perks!

The bottom line: promotions will continue to rotate, but the base fare you lock in today is likely lower than what it will be in a few months — and you'll have a better choice of cabins. Don't wait and hope for a better deal; the best deal is usually the one available right now.

Q: What if I want a suite? Suites are not available through the group rate, so you would need to book directly with Celebrity Cruises for that option.

Q: Are the group rates refundable? Yes! All three group rate cabins are completely refundable through December 28, 2026, so you can cancel without losing your money if plans change before that date.

Q: Can I book directly with Celebrity instead of through the group? Yes, and this might make sense if you don't drink, since you could potentially lower your cost by not taking the drink package. However, direct bookings are generally non-refundable unless you specifically add that option at booking.

Q: What's the risk of booking directly with Celebrity? If you cancel before December 28, 2026, you could forfeit your $500 deposit. The one exception is if you apply it toward a future cruise — but Celebrity will deduct a $100 rebooking fee from that amount.

Q: If I book directly with Celebrity, do I need to do anything else? Yes — please ask Celebrity to transfer your reservation into the BRMI group so you're still connected with everyone.

🚢 About the Conference

Q: What is a cruise conference and how is it different from a regular conference? A cruise conference combines professional development with a retreat-like experience. Sessions, networking events, and meals all take place aboard a luxury cruise ship, with built-in free time to explore ports of call. It's immersive, focused, and a lot more fun.

Q: Has this conference been held before? Yes! This is our third annual cruise conference. You can view testimonials and photos from past events on our Past Events page.

Q: How many people attend? We keep attendance intentionally small at 45 attendees, allowing for genuine connection and conversation throughout the week.

Q: Who should attend? This conference is for anyone passionate about the science of self-healing. You are in the right place if you are a:

  • Clinical professional — physician, nurse, therapist, chiropractor, NP, PA, or integrative practitioner

  • Researcher or academic working at the frontier of mind-body medicine, neuroplasticity, or psychoneuroimmunology

  • Health or wellness professional — coach, yoga teacher, somatic practitioner, nutritionist, or movement specialist

  • Vendor who specialize in natural healing

  • Natural health educator building curriculum or community around root-cause approaches to health

  • Biohacker or longevity enthusiast who demands rigorous evidence behind their practices

  • Person navigating a chronic condition who wants to understand what their body is truly capable of

  • Curious lifelong learner ready to go deeper in person

  • Anyone who believes the body has more capacity to heal than conventional medicine has suggested — and wants the evidence to back it up

🛳️ The Ship & Itinerary

Q: Which ship are we sailing on and what makes it special? We are sailing aboard the Celebrity Summit, part of Celebrity's Millennium class. With just 2,218 guests, the Summit balances modern sophistication with intimate, small-ship warmth — and has earned a Forbes Travel Guide Recommended Rating.

Her main dining room is adorned with original ornamentation and panels from the legendary SS Normandie, including the iconic La Normandie bronze statue — a daily reminder that some things are worth preserving, restoring, and honoring. Much like the human body.

The Canyon Ranch Spa offers therapeutic massage treatments, facials, body wraps, and acupuncture, alongside a tranquil Persian Garden with a sauna and tropical rain showers. Canyon Ranch Fitness at Sea features a large gym with floor-to-ceiling windows and classes including yoga, Zumba, and spin. Staterooms have been beautifully redesigned by interior designer Kelly Hoppen, and dining is a genuine highlight — from the globally inspired Cosmopolitan Restaurant to the ever-changing Oceanview Café buffet.

Q: Where does the cruise depart from? We depart from the Port of Tampa and return to the same port. Tampa International Airport (TPA) is just 8.7 miles away.

Q: What ports will we visit? Our Western Caribbean itinerary includes stops in Cozumel, Mexico, Costa Maya, Mexico, and Belize City, Belize. Full details including dates and times in port are on our Itinerary page.

Q: When do I need to arrive? We strongly recommend arriving the day before embarkation. Check-in opens between 11:00–11:30 AM and the ship departs at 4:00 PM. All passengers must be aboard by 2:30–3:00 PM.

Q: What if my flight is delayed and I miss the ship? If you miss the ship, you are responsible for making your way to the next port of call at your own expense. This is one of the many reasons we strongly recommend arriving the day before sailing.

Q: Is there a hotel room block near the port? We will be arranging a discounted rate at a Tampa hotel for the night before embarkation. Details will be included in your confirmation.

Q: Where can I park at the port? The Port of Tampa cruise terminal offers parking at $15 per day. We recommend booking in advance.

🎓 Programming

Q: When do sessions take place — will I miss port time? All conference sessions are scheduled on sea days so you have complete freedom to explore every port.

Q: Will sessions be recorded? Yes. Most sessions will be recorded and made available to all registered attendees after the conference.

Q: Will I earn continuing education credits? This conference is not currently accredited for CEU or CME credits. What we can promise is a deeply enriching experience that many attendees describe as some of the most clinically relevant and personally transformative learning they have encountered in years. Come ready to learn, connect, and leave genuinely inspired.

Q: Are vendors welcome to attend? Yes, please reach out to Jane Dolan at: jdolan@brmi.online for more information.

💵 Pricing & Payment

Q: What does the price include? Your cruise fare includes stateroom accommodations, all standard dining, and onboard entertainment. If you decide to use the group rate package, you will have FREE basic Wi-Fi and a Classic Beverage Package. (These include alcoholic drinks up to $10 price on the menu and a wide selection of unlimited premium coffees, bottled water, wines by the glass, beers, and cocktails. This package also entitles you to enjoy a 20% discount on wines by the bottle.)

Q: Do I pay for the cruise and the conference separately? Yes. Your cruise fare is booked and paid directly through Celebrity Cruises. Your conference registration fee is separate and paid directly to us. We will guide you through both steps at registration. The cost is $395, with an early-bird discount of $295 with code: SUMMIT.

Q: What is the deposit amount and when is the balance due? A deposit of $500 per person is due at booking with Celebrity. The remaining balance is due by December 28, 2026 — three months before the sail date.

Q: Why should I book early? Booking early matters for several reasons. Cabin rates increase as inventory fills, so early registrants lock in the best available pricing. The most desirable cabin categories, deck levels, and locations go first. Early bookers are also first in line for upgrades, specialty dining reservations, shore excursions, and Canyon Ranch spa appointments — all of which fill quickly. Booking early also gives you time to arrange flights at better prices, renew your passport if needed, and plan the trip without stress.

Q: Is travel insurance required? Travel insurance is strongly recommended but not required. We suggest a policy covering trip cancellation, medical evacuation, and interruption. We are happy to recommend trusted providers.

Q: What is the cancellation policy? Celebrity's cancellation policy is as follows:

  • 89–75 days prior to sailing (deadline December 29, 2026): 25% penalty per guest

  • 74–61 days prior to sailing (deadline January 13, 2027): 50% penalty per guest

  • 60–31 days prior to sailing (deadline January 27, 2027): 75% penalty per guest

  • 30–0 days prior to sailing (deadline February 26, 2027): 100% penalty per guest

Q: Can I transfer my registration to someone else? Transfers may be possible prior to sailing. Please contact us directly to discuss your situation and any applicable fees.

Q: How do I make and manage my reservation? To reserve your stateroom, call Celebrity Cruises at 1-888-727-4907, Monday through Saturday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

When prompted, say "Groups" and use extension 44218. Our travel consultant Andrew, or one of his colleagues, will be happy to assist you.

Please have the following ready when you call:

  • Group number: 9378309

  • Full legal name, email address, phone number, and date of birth for each guest in your cabin

  • Captain's Club numbers (if you have these)

Two things to ask for when you call:

  1. A complimentary room upgrade from an A2 to an A1 stateroom — you will need your Captain's Club number for this

  2. The current promotional savings discount

Q: I am traveling solo. What should I know? Celebrity prices all cabins based on double occupancy and accommodates solo travelers on a case-by-case basis. If approved, solo travelers should expect to pay the full double-occupancy rate. We encourage anyone considering solo travel to call Celebrity directly and speak with our travel advisor before registering, so you have everything you need to make an informed decision.

Q: Are meals included? Yes. The main dining room, Oceanview Café buffet, and several casual venues are all included. Aqua class stateroom have exclusive access to Blu Restaurant for daily breakfast and dinner, while suites have exclusive access to Luminae Restaurant for daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Specialty restaurants such as the steakhouse and sushi venue carry an additional fee.

✈️ Travel & Documentation

Q: Do I need a visa to visit our ports of call? US citizens do not require a visa to visit Cozumel, Costa Maya, or Belize City as cruise passengers. Requirements vary by nationality — non-US citizens should verify their specific requirements with the relevant embassy or consulate well in advance.

👨‍👩‍👧 Guests & Family

Q: Can I bring my spouse or partner? Absolutely. Non-conference guests are welcome and will have full access to all ship amenities during the sailing.

🌊 Health, Comfort & Onboard Life

Q: What if I get seasick? Modern cruise ships have stabilizers that significantly reduce motion. The ship's medical center stocks seasickness medication, and over-the-counter remedies such as Dramamine and motion-sickness patches are also helpful. Most guests find they adapt comfortably within the first day.

Q: Is there a gym and spa onboard? Yes. The Canyon Ranch Fitness center features a full gym with floor-to-ceiling windows, yoga, Zumba, and spin classes. The Canyon Ranch Spa offers a full menu of treatments. Fitness classes are included; spa treatments carry additional fees.

Q: Is Wi-Fi available? Yes. Basic Wi-Fi is included in your conference package and is suitable for email and general browsing. For streaming or downloading content, we recommend upgrading to the premium Wi-Fi package onboard.

Q: Will my cell phone work onboard? Your phone will work via maritime roaming, though rates can be very high. We recommend using Wi-Fi calling apps such as WhatsApp or FaceTime over the ship's Wi-Fi instead.

Q: What is the dress code? Celebrity has two dress code levels: Smart Casual, which applies most evenings, and Evening Chic for one to two special nights during the sailing. Business casual is appropriate for conference sessions, but comfort is key!  Pack a variety of casual and more dressy attire for different activities and dining experiences.

Q: What can I do on the cruise ship? There are numerous activities available, including dining at various restaurants, enjoying entertainment, relaxing by the pool, visiting the spa, and participating in onboard activities and games.

Q: Is smoking allowed? Celebrity designates specific outdoor areas for smoking. Smoking is not permitted in staterooms, on balconies, or in most indoor public spaces.

Q: What if the conference is cancelled? In the unlikely event of a cancellation, registered attendees will receive a full refund of the conference fees paid directly to us. Celebrity's own policies would apply to any cruise fare payments made directly to them.

Q: How do I stay updated on conference news? Follow us on Facebook and Instagram, join our private Facebook Group, and keep an eye on your inbox. We send regular updates as the event approaches.
