🌿 Insect Repelling: Essential Oil Blend 🌿
A thoughtfully crafted blend of plant oils designed to help discourage insects from landing and lingering—supporting a more natural, terrain-conscious approach to time outdoors.
When used consistently and reapplied as needed, botanical blends can offer gentle, effective support while working in harmony with the body and environment.
Base Options
Carry in:• Olive oil (6 oz)• Witch hazel (6 oz)• Or beeswax (for a balm)
Equal Parts Blend
• 20 drops Citronella (Cymbopogon nardus / winterianus)
• 20 drops Eucalyptus (Lemon Eucalyptus) (Eucalyptus citriodora)
• 20 drops Lavender (Lavandula officinalis)
• 20 drops Pennyroyal (Mentha pulegium)
• 20 drops Lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus)
Why These Work
• Citronella & Lemongrass → rich in natural compounds that disrupt insect host-seeking behavior
• Lemon Eucalyptus → one of the most well-studied plant-based repellents for mosquitoes and flying insects
• Lavender → offers mild repellency while supporting skin comfort and balance
• Pennyroyal → traditionally used as a strong botanical deterrent due to its intense aromatic profile
How to Use
Apply to:• Ankles & wrists• Behind knees• Neck & hairline• Clothing edges & socks
Shake well before use. Reapply every 1–2 hours outdoors
